Sean
Erickson, born in Sacramento County, began painting at an early
age. His Heaven
sent gift was fostered by his parents. With the help of his Dad,
Sean built his first house in 1974. Made completely of Lincoln Logs,
Sean decided to do as the early settlers did and white wash his home.
From this humble beginning, Sean sought to improve on “everything” with
a fresh coat of paint, chrome, varnish, stickers, stencils or wax.
He found all the items he owned could be transfixed into a different
date and time. His love of the futuristic took off only to give way
to the past.
After all, changing ones mind is given to the young and the old.
His first box of Binney & Smith Co. Crayola
Crayons had only 8 crayolas; Orange yellow, Raw Umber, Green Blue,
Maize, Blue Grey,
Orange Red, Violet Blue and Lemon Yellow.
With his box of crayons he could mix and match and make the world
what ever color he saw fit. It seemed a miracle, what you could color
with a crayon! Things only got better when Crayola retired his colors
and he got his first BIG BOX. 64 colors made him Merlin.
Back then Erickson "Classic Painting” was
in its infancy…
